Waracle is seeking a mid-level Developer to join our hybrid team, split between our Dundee and Glasgow offices. You will contribute to building intelligent digital products and services, while collaborating with a world-class digital technology consultancy.

You will grow your technical skills, participate in architectural discussions, and mentor others as part of a connected team, applying clean engineering practices and modern development workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with C#, .NET and Azure environments.
• Experience with backend architectures including microservices and event-based systems.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles.
• Awareness of code maintainability, security standards, and modern testing strategies.
• Willingness to learn new tools and contribute to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Crafting high-quality backend features and services independently from well-defined requirements, applying robust coding standards.
• Using cloud services for secure storage, authentication, and deployment with CI/CD pipelines.
• Providing concise updates in team stand-ups and pro-actively raising blockers early so the team can solve them together.
• Managing your own tasks with minimal oversight while mentoring juniors and onboarding new team members.
• Contributing to evolution of internal processes via retrospectives and Communities of Practice (CoP).
• Identifying application bottlenecks using profiling tools and prioritising tasks during sprint planning.
