Job summary

Conferma is seeking a Solutions Architect to design scalable, secure platforms that support our strategic goals. You will lead architecture across product delivery, cloud transformation and platform modernisation, aligning with enterprise principles.

You will act as the SME for the Conferma payments platform, defining end-to-end solutions with engineering and delivery teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. You’ll influence technical direction and drive AI-assisted engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Microsoft .NET and Azure cloud technologies.
• Design of RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native patterns.
• Strong grasp of application and cloud security principles.
• Documentation of architecture decisions, ADRs and diagrams.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for strategic initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure designs.
• Provide technical leadership throughout delivery and governance.
• Lead technical discovery, solution design and feasibility assessments.
• Design cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure balancing performance and cost.
• Define non-functional requirements including security and observability.
• Drive platform modernisation with cloud-native tech and API-first design.
• Produce architecture artefacts such as ADRs and C4 diagrams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and run proof-of-concepts.
• Coach engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
