Job summary

Insight is seeking an experienced API Platform Architect to lead the architecture, engineering, and evolution of our enterprise API Platform. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, APIM, and .NET Core API practices.

You will define standards, guide multi-region deployments, oversee security, observability, and DevOps pipelines while contributing code, reviews, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of industry experience in cloud engineering/architecture preferred.
• Strong hands-on expertise across Azure, Kubernetes, and API platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, design standards, patterns, and roadmap for the API Platform across Azure, AKS, APIM, networking, security, observability, and DevOps.
• Translate business and security requirements into scalable, secure platform architectures.
• Provide architectural guidance while remaining hands-on with implementation, debugging, and reviews.
• Define and govern API standards, APIOps pipelines, SLAs/SLOs, and security enforcement.
• Lead end-to-end API lifecycle design, deployment, health checks, and rollback strategies.
• Implement API analytics, distributed tracing, and performance tuning.
