Clark Wood in Chatham, England is seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Assistant Manager to lead a portfolio of UK audit clients, taking ownership from planning through to completion and guiding junior staff, with opportunities to broaden technical exposure as the firm grows. You will oversee assignments with Partners and Managers, ensuring quality delivery and developing the team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with strong external audit experience in UK practice.
• Experience leading audit assignments from planning to completion.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships.
• Strong technical accounting and audit knowledge.
• Ambition to progress to Audit Manager and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients and act as main contact.
• Plan and oversee audits from start to finish.
• Lead audit teams and ensure on-time delivery and budget.
• Review audit files and address complex areas.
• Develop junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Support process improvements and business development where appropriate.
