Job summary

Wade Macdonald is seeking a Temporary Assistant Accountant in Reading with hybrid working arrangements. The role covers transactional and month-end duties across billing, AR, reconciliations and financial reporting, with potential exposure to statutory accounting and finance projects.

The ideal candidate is part-qualified in CIMA or ACCA, highly numerate with strong Excel skills and comfortable managing changing priorities in a collaborative finance team.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA with good experience of finance systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Highly numerate and detail-focused, able to work to deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Organised, proactive and flexible to changing priorities and able to collaborate across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the monthly billing cycle and ensure invoices are produced on schedule.
• Maintain accounts receivable ledger and assist with credit control.
• Complete bank, card and employee expense reconciliations.
