Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience securing cloud environments, primarily AWS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Solid background in application security engineering and architecture
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and ability to present security risks to leadership
• Experience managing security vendors and MSPs
• Proven incident management and response
• Security certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Administer and enforce security policies governing system and application access
• Perform application security testing and reviews for secure configurations
• Conduct penetration tests and vulnerability assessments across applications, OS, and networks
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for new technologies and system changes
• Respond to security incidents by isolating threats and removing unauthorized access
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats and perform root cause analysis
• Implement controls to reduce cloud-based risks, including drift and web-facing gaps
• Collaborate with Information Security to advance roadmaps and initiatives
• Integrate security testing into development lifecycle
• Provide management with insights on data compromise impact
• Work within an agile framework delivering iterative improvements
• Respond to incidents potentially on off-hours and rotations
