Rider Levett Bucknall is building an enterprise AI capability to transform how our people work and how we deliver services to clients. We are seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to become the technical partner to the Head of AI, helping turn strategy into practical solutions that deliver real business value.

You will design, build and support AI agents, copilots and intelligent workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, OpenAI, Claude and related technologies, connecting to data and automating

Qualifications

• Design, build and deploy AI and digital solutions that solve business problems.
• Experience with AI, automation or workflow technologies.
• Can work with stakeholders to integrate systems through APIs and connectors.
• Ability to develop solutions using Python or JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving skills and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working directly with stakeholders and non-technical users.
• Bridge technical capability and user adoption by creating usable solutions.
• Passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous learning.
• Experience building modern web applications, portals or digital products.
• Understanding of UX principles and ability to create intuitive, user-friendly solutions.
• Knowledge of databases, data modelling and data integration concepts.
• Understanding of data quality, governance and accessibility impact AI solution.
• Exposure to modern AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Azure AI.
• Experience building chatbots, copilots, virtual assistants or agent-based solutions.
• Awareness of MCP, RAG or multi-agent architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy AI-powered solutions that solve real business challenges.
• Translate business requirements into practical AI applications, agents and workflows.
• Rapidly prototype ideas and progress successful concepts into production-ready solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify automation and productivity opportunities.
• Build and maintain AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and other leading AI platforms.
• Develop multi-step agent workflows that automate business processes and support decision making.
• Configure prompts, instructions, knowledge sources and integrations to maximise solution effectiveness.
• Monitor and continually improve agent performance based on user feedback and business outcomes.
• Understand APIs, MCP servers and connectors that enable secure access to business systems and data.
• Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint & CRM systems and other enterprise platforms.
• Support the development of retrieval-based AI solutions using structured and unstructured data sources.
• Work alongside IT and Information Security teams to ensure solutions are secure and scalable.
• Build simple, intuitive user experiences that drive adoption and business value.
• Develop lightweight web applications, dashboards and front-end interfaces to support AI solutions.
• Gather user feedback and continuously improve solutions based on real-world usage.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools and platforms.
• Identify opportunities to apply new capabilities across the business.
• Create proofs of concept to test and validate new ideas.
• Maintain awareness of developments across the Microsoft AI ecosystem and wider AI industry.
• Delivery of AI solutions that create measurable business value.
• AI solutions successfully deployed into production.
• Adoption and usage of AI solutions across the business.
• Reduction in manual effort through AI-enabled automation.
• Creation of reusable components that accelerate future delivery.
• Successful integration of AI solutions with key business systems and data sources.
