Job summary

Bucks and Berks Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team of our engineering client. This varied role offers exposure to credit control, month-end activities and payroll support within a collaborative, flexible and supportive environment.

Based in the United Kingdom, the role is full-time, 8.30-5 Monday to Friday with hybrid working (2-3 days from home) after training, and a competitive benefits package including a tax-free bonus of around £1500 per year,

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Credit Control role.
• Strong credit control and debt collection experience.
• Sage 200 experience and good Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Flexible and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and chase outstanding debts.
• Support month-end procedures and reconciliations.
• Assist payroll administration and pension processing.
