Job summary

Royal London is hiring a Senior Accessibility Specialist to join our growing Design Team in Alderley Park. This hands-on role aligns with multiple agile teams, ensuring outputs are accessible and that accessibility is embedded from design to deployment.

You will lead manual and automated accessibility testing across websites, apps, and PDFs, provide clear guidance, and champion inclusive digital experiences that support customers with impairments.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in conducting accessibility audits and delivering actionable recommendations.
• Strong problem-solving to identify accessibility barriers and advise on best practices.
• Technical proficiency in WCAG 2.2, ARIA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with assistive technologies including NVDA, TalkBack, VoiceOver, ZoomText and Dragon.
• Experience auditing across websites, native apps, PDFs and other artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead manual and automated accessibility audits across websites, native apps and other artefacts.
• Evaluate digital products against WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Collaborate with design team colleagues to embed accessibility into design artefacts.
• Partner with developers to resolve accessibility issues and optimise code.
• Use assistive technologies (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText, Dragon).
• Deliver clear, actionable reports to technical teams and stakeholders.
• Champion accessibility awareness through events and internal workshops.
