Job description

What will I be doing?

  • Reporting to the HWRC Manager, supervising the daily site operations to ensure full compliance.
  • Maintaining safety and environmental compliance in line with SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
  • Prioritising tasks to supervise all aspects of operations and supplement staffing if necessary.
  • Serving as a role model to promote recycling, safety culture, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring weekly targets set by the HWRC Manager are met efficiently and within budget.
  • Creating, managing, and controlling relevant operational documents.
  • Meeting COTC requirements and completing records.
  • Assisting in data collection, reporting on site performance, complaints, incidents, and training; analysing trends and identifying future needs.
  • Deputising for the HWRC Manager when required, covering all responsibilities.

What are the requirements?

  • Passion for recycling and strong communication skills.
  • Experience in supervising and developing teams to meet high operational standards.
  • Experience operating HWRCs and related requirements for maximum recycling.
  • Relevant waste management qualification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Valid driving licence.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Understanding of Key Performance Indicators.
