Our BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme is accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists and emphasizes practical excellence and student-centered learning. It offers opportunities for inter-professional teaching and learning alongside other established degree programmes in the Sport area.
We seek an individual with strong subject knowledge and professional experience in Sports Therapy, ready to bring their expertise into an academic setting. Applications are welcome from both experienced academics and those looking to advance their teaching careers at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level.
You will contribute to high-quality teaching, student supervision, and curriculum development. Teaching responsibilities may include modules such as Clinical Examination and Assessment, Rehabilitation, and Professional Practice. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in manual therapy, joint mobilizations, electrotherapy, or sports trauma management.
Experience in higher education teaching, module leadership, and curriculum design will be advantageous, especially for Senior Lecturer applicants. We value passion for education and a commitment to enhancing the student experience.
As part of our academic community, you will support students as a personal academic tutor and participate in wider School and University activities. A supportive environment with mentorship and opportunities for research and consultancy development is provided.
Applicants must be registered members of The Society of Sports Therapists with at least three years of post-graduation professional experience, aligned with professional body requirements for student supervision.
