Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking a Project Planner to lead planning activities for delivery projects in the HVDC business. You will own developing, maintaining and analyzing integrated schedules from tender through commissioning and close-out.

The role requires engineering insight, Primavera P6 experience, strong stakeholder communication and ability to work in a hybrid environment at Birmingham offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Project Planner in EPC, energy, or similar projects.
• Thorough understanding of sequencing and interfaces in EPC projects.
• Experience creating and maintaining integrated project schedules.
• Primavera P6 experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVDC, power transmission or large infrastructure is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, proactive and collaborative in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse project requirements with the team to develop detailed schedules.
• Define work breakdown structures and baseline schedules.
• Develop and monitor integrated project schedules across phases.
• Perform critical path and float analysis to identify risks.
• Lead schedule review sessions with stakeholders.
• Issue progress reports and look-ahead schedules.
• Support tendering with schedules, forecasts and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with suppliers and third parties on plans.
