This 12-month contract role offers an attractive day rate of £500 per day, designed for a dynamic leader keen to drive transformative change in the energy sector.
About the Role:
As an HVDC Project Manager, you will take charge of implementing high-voltage direct current technology within a major renewable energy initiative. Your leadership will ensure the project's success from inception to completion, aligning with strict timelines and budget constraints. You will manage a diverse team, coordinate with contractors, and liaise with stakeholders to seamlessly integrate innovative energy solutions into the grid.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and execution of HVDC project plans, ensuring alignment with broader project goals and industry standards.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, collaborating closely with senior management and external stakeholders.
Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
Manage project budget and resource allocation effectively.
Facilitate team and stakeholder meetings, fostering open communication and ensuring project transparency.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive solutions to challenges.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
Proven expertise in managing HVDC projects, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and directing a project team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in using project management software and tools.
A relevant degree in engineering, project management, or related fields is highly preferred.
