Job Description:

Description: We are looking for a project engineering manager who will coordinate all engineering activities in the assigned project, ensuring that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are completed cost-effectively in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety and integrity requirements. Activities associated with project engineering management involve all engineering disciplines including design planning, creation of budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and the coordination of resources including personnel and equipment to complete all tasks defined in the engineering scope of the project.

Please note: This is an office-based role (3 days in our Glasgow central offices). We are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

How you'll make an impact:

• You will be responsible for initiating, planning, managing, and controlling the engineering scope in a complex project.
• You will coordinate tasks, resources, stakeholders, and other engineering elements, managing conflicts, trade-offs, and resource evaluation.
• You will maintain a transparent project status, make decisions, and set priorities for maximum progress.
• You will influence time, cost, and scope to ensure project deliverables are met.
• You will oversee the engineering aspects of an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project.
• You will report to a Project Director and work within a department with other Project Engineering Managers and Project Interface Managers.

Your background:

• You hold a university degree with experience in people management, project management, or similar fields.
• You have experience working on large, complex projects, preferably civil engineering, with an innovative and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience with HVDC or PMI/PMP certifications is advantageous.
