A leading energy company is seeking an HVDC Operations Engineer to join their Asset Management & Operations team. This role involves overseeing the delivery, maintenance, and commissioning of HVDC Converter Stations, providing first-line support, and leading upgrade projects. The successful candidate will have experience in HVDC/FACTS Control Systems and strong communication skills, contributing to a sustainable energy future.
Base Location: For this role, we require the successful applicant to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Aberdeen or Inverness.
Salary: £58,630 - £68,098 + car allowance + eligible for overtime + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.

SSEN Transmission is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HVDC Operations Engineer, focusing on Control Systems, to join our dynamic Asset Management & Operations (AM&O) team on a permanent basis. In this key role, you will contribute to the delivery, maintenance, and commissioning of all HVDC Converter Stations in service and those in the project execution phase. You will also support the execution of HVDC and FACTS Service Level Agreements for the AM&O team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in the energy sector while contributing to a forward-thinking team.
