Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a commercial building in Stratford, East London. The role requires HVAP experience or HV authorisation and involves planned and reactive maintenance, plus leadership during electrical shutdowns.

The successful candidate will manage HV operations, maintain panels and power systems, and support contractors. A strong electrical background in commercial buildings and multi-skilling are essential.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous or expired HVAP / HV Authorised Person experience.
• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Proven background within commercial building maintenance.
• Experience working with critical electrical systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the building.
• Electrical fault finding, lighting repairs, lamp changes and small installation works.
• Carrying out emergency lighting testing and associated remedial works.
• Acting as the site's HV Authorised Person (HVAP) once authorised.
• Maintaining HV safety documentation and ensuring correct procedures are followed.
• Providing technical support to engineers and specialist contractors.
• Maintaining electrical control panels, power systems and associated equipment.
• Monitoring the Building Management System (BMS) and responding to alarms.
