Job Description

  1. Development, implementation, and maintenance of educational materials for HVAC product and services training. Prepare sales aids, stock lists, match-up forms, etc., for internal and customer use.
  2. Scheduling, organizing, facilitation, and delivery of classroom, virtual classroom, and on-the-job training for branch personnel and customers. Development and updating of HVAC certification programs as necessary.
  3. Become a certified trainer in vendor training programs (Kohler, Mitsubishi).
  4. Monitor HVAC training programs to evaluate their effectiveness and recommend modifications as necessary.
  5. Function as an internal consultant on HVAC product lines to assess, measure, and enhance employee performance.
  6. Respond promptly to customers and TGG associates seeking technical support.
  7. Visit job sites with customers and vendors when necessary.
  8. Maintain records of HVAC training activities, employee attendance, and progress. Track income and expenses for all training programs.
  9. Coordinate learning delivery through multiple mediums, including personal facilitation, e-learning, vendor partnerships, and other educational organizations or professional development groups.
  10. Facilitate and support the integration of company marketing concepts within the sales function. Accompany outside sales teams and branch managers during client presentations; proactively generate new business and identify plumbing and heating contractors interested in adding HVAC to their services. Collaborate with purchasing and branch staff to identify necessary HVAC products for the marketplace.
  11. Interface with new and existing employees to ensure HVAC sales training addresses current and future organizational needs.
  12. Stay informed of HVAC industry trends, marketplace developments, and technological advances. Continuously enhance knowledge of HVAC products, regulations, and strategies.
  13. Coordinate with VP of Marketing and manufacturer representatives to organize counter days and other educational events for The Granite Group staff and customers.
  14. Perform all duties safely and adhere to company safety policies.
  15. Familiarize with Wrightsoft to assist branches with this program.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
