Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking an HVAC technician to join our hospital facilities team, ensuring systems are installed, maintained, upgraded and repaired to support patient care. You will operate within a skilled maintenance group and contribute to safe, reliable environments.

The role requires 1 year HVAC experience in a large facility, exposure to healthcare settings, and EPA refrigerant certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year HVAC experience in a large facility.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• EPA refrigerant certification or ability to attain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Work as part of a highly skilled maintenance/trades team.
• Read blueprints and schematics; draw electrical schematics.
• Coordinate with contractors, staff and suppliers as needed.

Summary

Works as part of a highly skilled team of maintenance/trades professionals to ensure properly functioning systems within the hospital facilities by installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing HVAC equipment and systems.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 years HVAC experience in a large facility.
• Experience in Healthcare environment preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be EPA refrigerant certified- or ability to attain- EPA refrigerant certification within 6 months of hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

• High level of mechanical ability.
• High degree of knowledge of HVAC and mechanical safety.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to draw electrical schematics.
• Mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, electrical controls and air compressors.
• Good communication with contractors, parts suppliers and staff, both oral and written.

Pay Range: $24.16 - $35.19
