Position: HVAC Technician

Provides heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including large and small mechanical equipment such as cooling towers, chillers, RTUs, boilers, and automation systems in an industrial setting.

Essential Job Duties:

• Install equipment, assemble, connect, and repair piping and refrigerant lines, and install and maintain electrical controls, checking voltage.
• Place equipment in operation and test for satisfactory performance. Adjust and document the operation of pumps, humidifiers, filters, and valves.
• Lubricate machinery and recharge systems with refrigerant.
• Examine equipment for defects such as leakage and faulty compressors and condensers.
• Clean, inspect, and service air conditioners, condensers, evaporators, and cooling towers.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair heating-cooling units, VAV boxes, fan-powered boxes, and air control valves.
• Inspect, evaluate, and adjust electric, electronic, and pneumatic control systems.
• Provide preventive maintenance, including checking and tightening belts, greasing motors, replacing bad belts, and changing filters.
• Assist with testing, adjusting, and balancing air distribution and hydronic systems.
• Assist with testing critical building systems such as emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, UPS, and building automation systems.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and keep an inventory of maintenance items.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions or sponsorship.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of HVAC experience, especially with large mechanical equipment in an industrial setting, preferred.
• Reliable, trustworthy, capable of working independently and in a team.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position, working 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating emergency on-call schedule and some weekend overtime as needed.
