Job Description

The HVAC System Engineering Service supports all activities performed by engineers in the HVAC Systems team, including:

1. System design and integration into the overall client design
2. Reviewing and updating system documentation, formulating mechanical, electrical, nuclear safety, and control logic requirements in compliance with engineering rules, methodologies, quality processes, and tools
3. Analyzing and verifying input data, requirements, and lessons learned from other stations
4. Sizing components such as pumps, pipework, fans, tanks, and performing thermal hydraulic calculations and modeling with in-house or commercial tools
5. Supporting procurement in formulating technical specifications and supplier surveillance
6. Managing modification requests and checking their applicability
7. Developing and presenting technical solutions supporting design stability
8. Solving challenging multi-disciplinary open points proactively and timely

The I&C design of systems includes:

1. Applying engineering rules for platform allocation
2. Defining I&C functional requirements based on safety inputs
3. Using I&C tools to define logic, write test procedures, and test controls
4. Defining HMI in the control room
5. Producing/updating I&C parts of the System Design Manual
6. Performing peer reviews of I&C documents

Participation in commissioning strategy preparation, including:

1. Attending kick-off meetings and reviews
2. Producing updated documentation
3. Supporting commissioning teams with system inputs for documentation

Engaging proactively with stakeholders to ensure delivery of products meeting all discipline requirements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of process engineering experience
• Relevant experience in the nuclear industry
• Ability to manage workload and produce high-quality documents
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
• Proactive and confident communication, including with remote teams in France and Germany
• Continuous improvement mindset regarding engineering quality
