Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

SMMA has an opportunity for a Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience. This position offers the ability to lead a range of multiple design project types, and requires a good balance of leadership, technical, communication, and organizational skills.

Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multidisciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. We offer a fast-paced, collaborative, professional environment that promotes professional and creative growth. We pride ourselves in having a culture that promotes a balanced life/work approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide multiple projects leadership from concept design through construction administration phases in a range of project types.
  • Demonstrate experience with a range of system types and an interest in continuing to learn.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members through project design phases.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings and marketing pursuits.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC systems design and leading design projects
  • PE is required
  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation Programs, MS Office
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
