Role: Chiller Service Technician

Contract Type: Full time, permanent

We are seeking a Chiller Service Technician based in the London & Home Counties area.

The primary responsibility is troubleshooting, supporting breakdowns, and commissioning standard products, mainly industrial water chillers, to deliver high-quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate large sites independently or supervise other technicians, ensuring customer satisfaction.
2. Provide expert support in technical disciplines such as centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, and chiller controls sequencing.
3. Manage standard commercial and technical contract aspects independently.
4. Troubleshoot and support complex breakdowns both in person and remotely.
5. Commission standard and large capacity products and advise on wider system installations.
6. Participate in customer meetings with minimal supervision.
7. Assist in training courses as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
8. Review complex technical documents such as wiring diagrams and P&ID drawings.

Requirements:

1. Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
2. Experience in a similar HVAC role, especially with chillers.
3. Full UK Driving Licence (or equivalent).
4. City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling of Refrigerants.
5. F Gas qualification.
6. High technical competence with experience on Carrier and other manufacturer’s equipment.
7. Experience as a technician in the HVAC industry.
