SMMA has an opportunity for a HVAC Project Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience. This position offers the ability to lead a range of multiple design project types and requires a good balance of leadership, technical, communication, and organizational skills.

Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from concept design through construction administration in a range of project types
• Demonstrate experience with a range of system types and ability to support technical discussions
• Prepare HVAC drawings utilizing Autodesk Revit Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software
• Conduct construction site visits and review construction administration submittals
• Guide and mentor junior team members throughout project design phases

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC systems design and leading projects
• FE/PE Registration is preferred
• Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation programs and MS Office
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to conduct visits to active construction sites and climb ladders
