Job summary

Red Rock Consultants Ltd is seeking an HVAC Installation Engineer for nationwide projects across the Midlands and beyond. You will install and commission VRV/VRF, packaged and split systems on commercial and industrial sites, with regular travel and overnight stays.

The role requires F‑Gas Cat 1, NVQ/City & Guilds L2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and a valid UK driving licence. Comprehensive OT and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing commercial HVAC systems.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification or equivalent.
• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or equivalent.
• Experience installing VRV/VRF and split systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and installation schematics.
• Full UK driving licence and Asbestos Awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission HVAC systems on medium to large commercial/industrial projects.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Work with project managers, subcontractors and other engineers.
• Carry out testing, evacuation and commissioning where required.
• Maintain documentation and reports using electronic devices.

HVAC INSTALLATION ENGINEER – NATIONWIDE

SALARY: £42,640 per annum (£20.50 per hour, based on 40 hours) + Overtime

LOCATION: Midlands (Nationwide Projects)

Red Rock Consultants are working on behalf of an established Building Services and Facilities Management business who are looking to recruit an experienced HVAC Installation Engineer.

THE COMPANY

Our client delivers integrated Facilities Management, Building Services and Process Engineering solutions to customers nationwide.

Due to continued growth within their Building Services and Projects division, they are looking to expand their installation team.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for installing and commissioning HVAC systems across medium to large-scale commercial and industrial projects throughout the UK.

The role will involve regular nationwide travel, overnight stays and occasional night working to accommodate client requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Installing split, VRV/VRF and packaged HVAC systems.
• Installing refrigeration pipework, condensate drainage and associated components.
• Installing ventilation systems, ductwork and associated supports.
• Carrying out pressure testing, evacuation and commissioning where required.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation schematics.
• Working alongside project managers, subcontractors and other engineers.
• Ensuring installations meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Completing job reports and project documentation using electronic devices.
• Supporting site setup and materials management.

THE PERSON

• Proven experience installing commercial HVAC systems.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification or equivalent.
• NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or equivalent experience.
• Experience installing VRV/VRF and split systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and installation schematics.
• Full UK manual driving licence and Asbestos Awareness.
• Comfortable travelling nationwide, staying away and working occasional nights.
• IPAF, PASMA, CSCS and ventilation or ductwork experience would be advantageous.
