Job Title: HVAC Engineer


CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Shift HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team in Warrington.


The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance on Plant, Equipment, and Building Services.


Role Summary:

  • Identify and manage risks to the client through on-site equipment, including critical spares, improving plant performance, managing environmental conditions via the BMS system, and ensuring efficient operation of all plant and equipment. Implement and improve preventative maintenance programs.
  • Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client regarding reactive and PPM tasks.
  • Fault find on various HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems. Must have qualifications in refrigerant handling and F-Gas regulations.
  • Support team members in Health and Safety matters.
  • Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
  • Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
  • Prepare and review Risk Assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with rules and legislation.
  • Use mobile devices to report and complete work via the CAFM Maintenance System.
  • Plan daily work using email and calendars for efficiency.
  • Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to resolve building services issues.
  • Serve as responsible person for the team and deputize for the site supervisor during leave or sickness.
  • Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends, often with short notice.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
  • Supervise and manage subcontractors.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs outside normal hours.

Experience Required:

  • A recognised or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
  • Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
  • Strong multi-skilled abilities.
  • Fault finding skills.
  • Supervision of contractors.
  • Ability to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Understanding of permits and safe systems of work.
  • F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use qualifications.

Desirable:

  • Working at Height Qualification.
  • IPAF / PASMA certification.
  • AP qualifications.
  • BMS system experience.
  • HVAC Controls knowledge.
