Job description

We are looking for a HVAC Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a HVAC Engineer to join this highly successful and forward–thinking organisation.

As the HVAC Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The HVAC Engineer, will be responsible for:

  • Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for gas systems.
  • Ensure compliance with current gas regulations and unsafe situation procedures.
  • Act as a trainer and mentor to working groups.
  • Complete PPM and Helpdesk tasks while maintaining Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards.
  • Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and management to address client concerns.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of site engineering services and contractual requirements.
  • Enforce business risk management procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely work documentation.
  • Troubleshoot site issues and recommend remedial actions.
  • Coordinate connections to existing plant/systems.
  • Maintain Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and quality procedures.
  • Complete all maintenance tasks on time and close out work orders in SAP to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

To be successful for this HVAC Engineer role you must have:

  • Full domestic ACS qualifications, including CPA1, CENWAT, CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, MET1/2, and City & Guilds NVQ (ACS Aligned) Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Gas Safe registered.
  • Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) certification preferred or willingness to undertake ASHP training.
  • Commitment to complete WRAS water regulations and ASHP training courses as required.
  • Strong knowledge of gas systems and current industry regulations.
  • Ability to mentor and train others effectively.
  • Competence in maintaining safety standards and risk management.
  • Flexibility for weekend and emergency call–out duties.
  • Excellent organizational skills with accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Proficient in using SAP or similar work order management systems.
