Job summary

YG Engineering Ltd. is seeking a practical HVAC Engineer’s Mate in Redditch to support installation, servicing and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration units. The role focuses on hands-on work, safety, and meeting project demands across Warwickshire.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HVAC installation or fitting experience (essential).
• Strong practical skills and confidence using tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet.
• A positive, reliable and safety-conscious approach.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a Lead Engineer on HVAC and refrigeration installs across commercial, residential and light industrial sites.
• Assisting with servicing, fault-finding and routine maintenance.
• Handling tools, materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Helping with pipework, ducting, brackets, fixings and general installation tasks.
• Ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in line with safety procedures.
• Representing the business professionally on customer sites.

We’re looking for a reliable, hands‑on HVAC Engineer’s Mate to work closely with a Lead Engineer on the installation, servicing and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration units.

This is an ideal role for someone with practical HVAC installation or fitting experience who wants to develop their skills further in a supportive, professional environment. No formal qualifications required – just solid hands‑on ability, a strong work ethic and the desire to progress.

What you’ll be doing
