Job Title: HVAC Engineer

We are seeking an HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in Guildford. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Role Responsibilities

1. Identify and manage risks related to onsite equipment, including critical spares and plant performance improvements.
2. Manage environmental conditions using the BMS system and ensure efficient operation of all plant and equipment.
3. Implement and improve preventative maintenance programs.
4. Fault find on HVAC systems, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems, and handle refrigerants safely with F-Gas qualifications.
5. Support health and safety initiatives within the team.
6. Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
7. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
8. Complete risk assessments and ensure documentation complies with all regulations.
9. Utilize mobile devices and CAFM systems for work management.
10. Coordinate with onsite supervisors and account managers on building service issues.
11. Deputize for the site supervisor when necessary.
12. Work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
13. Supervise and manage subcontractors.
14. Participate in an on-call rota for emergency responses outside normal hours.

Experience and Qualifications

• Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in HVAC or related field.
• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
• Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
• Strong multi-skilled abilities and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to supervise contractors and complete risk assessments and method statements.
• F-Gas safe handling certification.
• Desirable: Working at Height qualification, IPAF/PASMA, BMS system experience, HVAC controls.
