Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland seeks a skilled HVAC engineer to join the static maintenance team in London. The role covers pre-planned maintenance and reactive works on site, with leadership of HVAC tasks supported by the OCS mobile team and specialist supply chain.

You will manage cooling and heating systems, work with the BMS to adjust set-points for occupancy, and ensure compliance with legislation and SFG 20. NVQ Level 3 and F-Gas 1 are required; weekend on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, heating and ventilation.
• F-Gas Category 1 qualification.
• Desirable corporate environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain cooling and heating systems on site in compliance with legislation and SFG 20.
• Escort contractors on site to ensure safe, compliant working practices.
• Carry out reactive investigations and first-fix repairs where possible.
• Schedule HVAC tasks and modify temperatures via BMS to suit occupancy.
• Complete all work to high standards and ensure paperwork is submitted.
• Support maintenance team members to keep site operations running.

About The Role

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Flexibility on weekends for on-call commitments will sometimes be required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably skilled HVAC engineer to join the static OCS maintenance team for one of our key clients in London.

Your role will consist of Pre planned Maintenance and reactive works on the site as directed by the M&E Manager, experience of working in the corporate environment is desirable as is experience of working with a CAFM system to manage your workflows and complete maintenance and reactive tasks.

The role can be very varied day to day but as the Mechanical lead you will be responsible for all the works involving the HVAC systems supported by the OCS mobile team and specialist supply chain.

Your main responsibilities will include

• Manage and maintain the Cooling and Heating systems on site to complete with legislation and to SFG 20 guidelines
• Support the contract management team with escorting of contractors on the site to ensure they work in a safe and compliance manner
• Carry out reactive investigation and first fix repair (where possible) on mechanical equipment.
• Carry out HVAC time scheduling and temperature modifications via BMS to suit occupancy requirements.
• Complete all work to the highest standards and ensure that all paperwork is submitted
• Support other members of the maintenance team when required t ensure site operations are maintained

You should meet the following criteria

• You should be qualified to NVQ level 3 in a plumbing heating and ventilation discipline and have a F GAS Category 1 qualification, being able to complete commercial gas work would be an advantage however not essential.
• Right to work in the UK
• Previous experience of working in the Corporate environment advantageous but not essential
• Experience and skills within a multiskilled or general fabric maintenance role would be an advantage
• Reliable, punctual and professional at all times
• Clear understanding of customer care and promoting the services we provide as a business
