Job description

Job Opportunity: HVAC Engineer

We have an opportunity for an experienced HVAC Engineer to support multiple projects within a multi-million-pound infrastructure portfolio in the West of Scotland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems design, installation, and maintenance. Responsibilities include designing efficient and cost-effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various projects, as well as ensuring their performance and reliability throughout their lifecycle.

What We Need
  • Knowledge and experience of building services engineering.
  • Experience in producing ventilation system design deliverables such as Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFDs), Basis of Design (BoD)/Functional Specifications, Plant Sizing Calculations, and Control Philosophy.
  • Knowledge of current codes and standards, including British Standards.
  • Understanding of UK nuclear regulations and good practices.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and nuclear safety case requirements.
  • Theoretical and practical experience across concept, detailed design, and construction stages in heavy industrial and maritime building services engineering.
  • Experience working in the UK nuclear industry, especially in designing and assessing safety-related structures, systems, and components.
Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance. Due to the nature of this project, only British-born nationals will be considered.

Location

The role is based in Glasgow City Centre with flexibility for occasional remote work. Site visits may be required and will be subsidised.

Qualifications

A degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline is required.
