Job summary

Tech-People is seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer for a 2‑month contract in Beeston. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC plant, including VRV/VRF systems, with emphasis on safe F‑Gas handling and reliability improvements.

The role requires strong fault‑finding skills, multi‑skill mechanical/electrical capability, and experience with BMS and CAFM systems. IPAF/PASMA and City & Guilds qualifications are desirable. On-site supervision duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC maintenance experience.
• F–Gas qualification.
• VRV/VRF air conditioning experience.
• Good fault–finding skills.
• Multi–skilled mechanical/electrical experience.
• PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
• Relevant apprenticeship/City & Guilds qualification.
• IPAF/PASMA and BMS experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Fault finding and repairs across HVAC plant and equipment.
• Maintenance of VRV/VRF air conditioning systems.
• Work with refrigerants and ensure safe handling of F–Gas.
• Monitor plant and equipment performance and improve efficiency.
• Use BMS systems to monitor and manage environmental conditions.
• Complete maintenance records and documentation using a CAFM system.
• Identify and manage equipment risks and critical spares.
• Complete and follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permits.
• Liaise with the onsite Supervisor, Account Manager and client.
• Support the wider maintenance team with mechanical and electrical expertise.
• Supervise subcontractors when required.
• Support site Health & Safety requirements.

Start: Monday 07/09/2026

Duration: 2 months

Hours: 40 hours per week, 7:30am–4:30pm

Rate: 28.17 per hour Umbrella PAYE / 21.64 per hour PAYE
