Job summary

COREcruitment is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer for permanent and temporary opportunities across a large retail/FM portfolio in the UK. The role is field-based, focusing on service, maintenance and reactive support for supermarket estates.

Ideal candidates will have proven refrigeration experience in retail/FM, a valid F-Gas qualification and an NVQ/City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Own proven experience with commercial refrigeration systems in retail/FM settings.
• Valid F-Gas (Category 1) qualification.
• NVQ/City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration systems.
• Fault finding and reactive breakdown response.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) per SFG20.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and safety standards.
• Complete job reports via PDA/CAF system.
• Provide excellent client-facing service on-site.

Refrigeration Engineer – Permanent & Temporary Opportunities

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

OTE of £60K

We are currently recruiting experienced Refrigeration Engineers to join a well-established national facilities management provider supporting a major portfolio. Due to seasonal demand and ongoing contract growth, opportunities are available on both a permanent and temporary basis.

This is a field-based role focused on delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and reactive support across a large-scale supermarket estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems (packs, integrals, walk-ins)

• Fault finding and reactive breakdown response

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20 standards

• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards

• Accurate completion of job reports via PDA/CAF system

• Providing excellent client-facing service while on-site

Requirements

• Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems within a retail or FM environment

• Valid F-Gas (Category 1) qualification

• NVQ / City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent

• Full UK driving licence

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
