Overview

Our client is one of the fastest-growing privately owned companies in the building maintenance and facilities management support services sector. They deliver high-quality, customer-focused services across the UK and are looking to expand their expert team with a skilled HVAC Engineer.

Purpose of the Role

As a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that HVAC systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. You will play a key role in both the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems across a variety of sites, contributing to high standards of building comfort and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and install HVAC components including pipework, ducts, and control panels.
  • Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, and quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken (e.g., daily worksheets, before-and-after photos, materials used).
  • Adhere strictly to Health & Safety standards and safe working practices.
  • Deliver work to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota (approximately 1 week in 4).
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HVAC or a related discipline
  • CSCS card or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of safe power and hand tool use
  • Excellent timekeeping, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable using handheld IT equipment - basic proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
