Chartered HVAC Design Engineer
Guildford based covering London and West Kent
Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm

KHR are currently partnering with an established building services engineering company based in Surrey who are looking to hire a Chartered HVAC Design Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on innovative projects across Surrey, Kent, and London.

As a Chartered HVAC Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality mechanical engineering solutions for clients' diverse projects. You will collaborate with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to determine requirements, conduct site surveys, and develop comprehensive design specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of projects, ensuring client satisfaction and the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with clients and design teams to establish mechanical requirements
  2. Conduct site surveys to assess project needs and assist in pricing installation works
  3. Research and apply the latest engineering methods and technologies
  4. Document design processes and prepare technical reports
  5. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery
  6. Liaise with clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers for project coherence
  7. Stay updated on industry advancements and design trends
  8. Present design proposals to clients and external teams

Candidate Profile:

  1. Chartered Engineer status (CEng / CIBSE)
  2. Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  3. Strong knowledge of design principles and best practices
  4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD
  5. Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  6. Experience in designing HVAC, Air Source/Ground Source Heat Pumps, and related systems
