Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd. is seeking an experienced HVAC design professional to act as the primary interface between design and construction teams.

You will develop and review HVAC designs, confirm detailed specifications, and perform technical assessments to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor documentation and test plans, and supporting the integration of HVAC systems within broader mechanical and building disciplines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services field.
• 3–5 years of relevant HVAC design experience.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, CIBSE, ISO, local).
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with contractors, site teams, and multi-disciplinary groups.
• Strong communication and collaborative work style.
• Experience in regulated industries or complex infra projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• EssentialDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC design, building services engineering, or system integration.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, CIBSE, ISO, local regulations).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Experience working with contractors, site teams, and multi-disciplinary engineering groups.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a project-based environment.
• Experience in regulated industries or complex infrastructure projects is advantageous but not essential.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency with HVAC design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, BIM tools, load calculation software).
• Understanding of ventilation, heat load calculations, ductwork sizing, equipment selection, and system performance analysis.
• Knowledge of commissioning processes and quality assurance procedures.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
