Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd is hiring for an HVAC design professional to act as the primary interface between design and construction teams. You will develop and review HVAC designs, ensuring accuracy of specifications and compliance with project standards.

You will review contractor documentation and support system integration across mechanical, electrical, and building disciplines, while leveraging your knowledge of codes and building services engineering.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC design, building services engineering, or system integration.
  • Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, CIBSE, ISO, local regulations).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
  • Experience working with contractors, site teams, and multi-disciplinary engineering groups.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a project-based environment.
  • Experience in regulated industries or complex infrastructure projects is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of ventilation, heat load calculations, ductwork sizing, equipment selection, and system performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of commissioning processes and quality assurance procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
