At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as an HVAC Construction Engineer at the Hinkley Point C nuclear project in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, focusing on the integration and coordination of cabling, pipework, and support services across the project.

The role

As an HVAC Construction Engineer, you’ll lead and manage the team, implement best practices, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements. Your responsibilities include delivering HVAC Workpacks, supporting the MEH Alliance programme, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the construction lifecycle.

• Support the use of the Procon system for construction works and progress reporting.
• Manage work authorization and permit systems in compliance with NNB requirements.
• Coordinate safe access routing for construction activities.
• Conduct topographical and other surveys to support construction.
• Prioritize and manage documentation to align with project plans, ensuring compliance with latest information.

This role involves a 37-hour workweek at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

Essential experience

• Experience in major construction projects within highly regulated sectors, with knowledge of Safe Systems of Work.
• Proven track record at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience within Joint Ventures.

Qualifications

• HNC qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience in HVAC system installation.
