Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial/residential HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding, brazing, and mechanical layouts.

• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, and repair units.
• Operates refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges.
• Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to component level.
• Inspects systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
• Performs routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and related equipment, contributing to the safe and effective operation of facilities.
• Maintains quality of work, performance, and productivity standards.
• Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
• Records temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheets at specified intervals.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files. Keeps current with all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the company.
• Knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems experience.
• Building controls – ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls.
