Overview

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business seeking to recruit an HVAC Business Development Manager on a permanent basis due to growth. The role is based at their site in Leatherhead with UK travel.

This is a new position within the company. The ideal candidate will have an established network of HVAC contacts and will be able to grow with the business, with opportunities to expand their role according to their strengths. The candidate should be London or South-East based, as after initial training in Leatherhead, they will spend about two days per week in the office and the rest visiting customers nationwide or working from home.

This is a long-term career opportunity. They are looking for a genuine team player who may aspire to become a Sales Team Leader in the future.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Seek out opportunities and promote products and services to engineering consultants, specifiers, contractors, service and facilities providers, and end users.
  • Visit HVAC and steam bath manufacturers, installers, contractors, and consultants to build or strengthen relationships, generate inquiries and leads for humidity control equipment.
  • Attend customer sites across the UK for site surveys and meetings at their offices.
  • Provide sales and technical support via phone, in person, and email.
  • Provide detailed quotations promptly.
  • Follow up on quotations to ensure customer needs are met and encourage orders.
  • Assist with sales planning and marketing via social media (LinkedIn), trade exhibitions, seminars, and face-to-face meetings.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hardworking, self-motivated, results-driven, positive, and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident in presenting to individuals, small groups, and larger audiences (CPDs).
  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering background.
  • Proven sales record in the HVAC sector.
  • Strong IT skills: Word, Excel, CRM, Sage.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Willingness to undertake regular training and travel, including overnight stays when necessary.
  • Prepared to go 'the extra mile'.

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

Working Hours: 37 hours/week
