Job Title: Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer

Nottingham (Mobile Role – Various Client Sites including Prisons)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 per year (depending on experience) + Structured Overtime

The Role

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning & HVAC Engineer to join our growing team. This is a mobile role based out of Nottingham, covering various client sites across the Midlands, including secure environments such as prisons. You’ll be responsible for PPM and reactive maintenance, primarily focused on servicing and maintaining a range of HVAC systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who is confident working independently, with a strong background in A/C systems and an eye for detail when it comes to compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

*

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial and secure sites

*

Attend prison sites regularly to complete servicing and compliance tasks

*

Maintain and service HVAC & F-Gas systems including:

*

Split systems

*

VRV/VRF units

*

Chillers

*

AHUs

*

Ventilation and extract systems

*

Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions

*

Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and complete associated reports

*

Adhere to Health & Safety policies and site-specific procedures

Required
Qualifications & Experience

*

Minimum 3 years' experience in HVAC and Air Conditioning maintenance

*

F-Gas Certification (essential)

*

City & Guilds / NVQ in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration (essential)

*

Electrical qualifications (advantageous)

*

Confident with fault finding, diagnostics, and independent working

*

Familiarity with CAFM (tablet-based) systems

*

Good communication and record-keeping skills

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Experience working in prisons or secure facilities ()
