The Opportunity

HV Working Supervisor - Building Maintenance – Location: London Victoria – Salary: £55,000 – Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm

The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HV Working Supervisor to join our team on a major commercial site. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and supervision of all high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. You will lead by example, combining your technical expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure the site's electrical infrastructure is fully compliant and operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the on-site electrical team. Ensure that all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • High Voltage Operations: Serve as the senior authorised person (SAP) or authorised person (AP) for high-voltage systems. This includes managing high-voltage switching, isolation, and issuing permits to work.
  • Hands-on Maintenance: Work on the tools, carrying out complex fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems.
  • Health & Safety and Compliance: Champion health and safety, ensuring all work is conducted in strict accordance with company policies and relevant UK legislation. Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks and ensure all Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) are followed.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee the activities of specialist subcontractors, ensuring their work is performed safely and to the required quality standards.
  • Reporting and Administration: Ensure all job-related documentation, including digital logbooks and CAFM system entries, are accurate and up-to-date. Provide regular operational reports to the line manager.
What We're Looking For
  • Essential: Proven experience in a supervisory or senior engineer role within the facilities maintenance or building services sector.
  • Essential: A recognised electrical qualification, such as a Level 3 NVQ Diploma or equivalent.
  • Essential: Current High Voltage Authorisation, with proven experience in managing HV systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of both high-voltage and low-voltage systems, with comprehensive knowledge of M&E systems, HVAC, and building fabric.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
