Job summary

Aureos is hiring multiple Wireman/Fitters to support high voltage projects in Inverness and across the South Wales and Bristol region. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing HV equipment up to 132kV for DNOs, IDNOs and private clients.

You will interpret drawings, follow safety standards and work with engineers and clients to deliver safe, efficient projects. A UK driving licence and flexibility for standby duties are essential.

Qualifications

• DNO industry experience in the UK or overseas, with a recognised qualification in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Proven track record in construction, repair, and operation of HV equipment up to 132kV.
• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work.
• Sound knowledge of HV and LV systems and experience as an Electrician (advantageous).
• Full UK driving licence – travel is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining HV equipment and switchgear up to 132kV, including AIS and GIS.
• Working on power transformers, protection panels, battery chargers, SCADA/telecontrol panels, and more.
• Carrying out planned and emergency maintenance across networks.
• Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring compliance with design specs and safety standards.
• Collaborating with engineers, project managers and clients to ensure safe delivery of work.
