Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking an Estimator / Bid Manager to lead tendering for LV to 132kV substation projects across the UK. The role requires reviewing enquiry packs, visiting sites, and preparing costed proposals with input from the supply chain.

Travel across the UK is essential, and you will present to senior management and customers. The ideal candidate has 5+ years HV engineering experience and at least 2 years in commercial estimating or bidding, with knowledge of CDM 2015

Qualifications

• HV engineering experience in a project environment.
• Minimum 5 years in HV/EHV substation projects.
• At least 2 years in commercial estimating, bidding or customer-facing roles.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiry packs to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed, costed proposals using direct labour and supply chain quotes.
• Submit proposals for senior management review and customer presentation.
• Coordinate handover packs for operations team after tender win.
• Negotiate post-tender scope changes and final offers.
