Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking an Estimator / Bid Manager to lead LV to 132kV substation construction and asset replacement projects UK-wide. The role requires travel across the UK to meet clients and manage tendering end-to-end.

You will review enquiry packs, create costed proposals, coordinate with Supply Chain partners, and present offers to senior management and customers. A technical engineering background and a proactive, collaborative approach are essential in a dynamic,

Qualifications

A higher qualification in an Engineering discipline, ideally in HV Power Engineering.
Experience with CDM 2015 regulations and ability to draft Construction Phase Plans.
HV engineering experience in a project environment focused on HV and EHV Substation works.
At least 2 years in a commercial estimating, bidding, and customer-facing role.
A practical understanding of high voltage electrical substations and associated equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review tender enquiry packs and resolve scope queries to ensure accurate and compliant proposals.
Negotiate with customers post-tender to capture late scope changes and prepare best and final offers.
Manage the entire tendering process from enquiry receipt to submission and post-tender negotiations.
Coordinate internal and external cost elements to identify risks and establish mitigation plans.
Foster collaboration with customer representatives and all Freedom business units to maximise opportunities.
