Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking an Estimator / Bid Manager to lead tendering on LV to 132kV substation construction and asset replacement projects for DNO and Private Network Owner customers. Your home location is flexible, with travel across the UK to meet customers where they are.

In this role you will review tender packs, determine scope, create costed proposals, submit to senior management for risk review, and compile handover packs for the Freedom Operations team.

Qualifications

• HV engineering experience in a project environment (HV / EHV substations).
• Minimum 5 years in HV project environment.
• At least 2 years in commercial estimating, bidding, and customer-facing roles.
• Ability to draft Construction Phase Plans (CDM 2015).

Responsibilities

• Review tender packs and resolve scope queries to ensure accurate and compliant proposals.
• Negotiate with customers post-tender to capture late scope changes and prepare best and final offers.
• Manage the entire tendering process from enquiry receipt to submission and post-tender negotiations.
• Coordinate internal and external cost elements to identify risks and establish mitigation plans.
• Foster collaboration with customer representatives and all Freedom business units to maximize opportunities.
