Job summary

A leading offshore wind services provider is seeking an HV Project Engineer to provide engineering support in a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high voltage systems and wind farm operations, as well as proven leadership skills in complex operational environments. This is a permanent, full-time role with a focus on delivering safe, high-quality services across the renewable energy sector.

• Holds a full UK driving license.

  Given the breadth of services delivered by a small, agile team, we are looking for a skilled, experienced, and dependableProject Engineerto support both our tendering and operational engineering functions. This role is critical to ensuring our engineering output is not only competent but also accountable, helping us maintain the high standards our customers expect.

  Principle Accountabilities

• Provide engineering support for HV Services in tenders and live projects, focusing on HV Maintenance, cable Fault work, testing, SAP services, and turbine OEM O&M.
• Build strong, positive relationships across EDS and the JF Group, promoting a culture aligned with JFR values.
• Ensure high-quality information for tendering and operations; collaborate with customers to solve shared challenges.
• Partner with Sales & Tendering to refine product offerings and delivery models aligned with bids, customer needs, and market trends.
• Oversee the Cost of Poor Quality process, capturing lessons learned from engineering-related project issues.
• Champion H&S by supporting reporting systems and fostering a ZERO Harm culture through feedback and continuous learning.
• Prepare technical tenders, procedures, RAMS, and notes; review and approve workmanship and test results; resolve engineering issues.

  Qualifications and Experience

• Proven leadership in operational teams within transmission, construction, O&M renewables, or other complex environments (e.g. power generation, chemical plants, Navy).
• Strong background in wind farm design, construction, and operations.
• Extensive expertise in high voltage systems up to 400kV
• Degree or HND in engineering (preferably electrical), working towards professional accreditation.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore wind lifecycle—from design to maintenance.
• Proficient in IT systems and tools.
• High integrity and adaptable approach to influencing and achieving objectives.
• Holds a full UK driving license.
