Tsmetalsquartzelec is offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Power Network Craftsperson in Wrexham, Wales. The apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience and skills in maintaining and repairing high-voltage electrical infrastructure. You will support the electricity network and gain recognized qualifications through training at UCT Manchester over 36 months. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science, along with a strong interest in electrical engineering and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications
Strong interest in electrical engineering and power networks.
Willingness to work across a variety of sites and environments.
Good problem-solving and analytical ability.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair HV switchgear and transformers up to 33kV.
Carry out electrical substation wiring, including complex panel wiring.
Assist Senior Authorised Persons with testing and commissioning of HV installations.
