Ernest-Gordon-Recruitment-Limited is seeking an experienced HV Installation Technician to install and commission HV transformers, AIS/GIS switchgear, and substation equipment across the UK. Travel nationwide with expensed accommodation, working on major infrastructure projects.

You will support energisation activities, coordinate with engineers, and uphold safety standards on site, with progression opportunities and company car benefit.

Are you a High Voltage Installation Technician with experience in transformers, switchgear and HV cable terminations, looking to join a growing company where you’ll work on major UK infrastructure projects?

This company is a specialist in high-voltage infrastructure solutions, delivering installation and commissioning projects nationwide. With ambitious growth plans, they are now looking for a HV Installation Technician to strengthen their delivery team.

In this role you will install and commission HV transformers, AIS/GIS switchgear, substation components, and auxiliary systems. You will carry out HV terminations and connections, support FAT/SAT and energisation, and work alongside engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

This role would suit a HV Installation Technician with at least 5 years’ experience working from 11kV upwards who is looking for long-term development, training, and the chance to work on some of the UK’s most exciting HV projects.

The Role:

• Install and commission HV transformers, switchgear (AIS/GIS) and substation equipment
