Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and our positive culture empowers every employee to thrive. With flexible working options and a commitment to employee well-being, many of our team members stay with us long-term and build rewarding careers.

Job Purpose:
As an HV Electrician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our customers’ networks. Working as part of our PD Service team, you’ll help condition assess and optimize high-voltage (HV) assets using cutting-edge technology, contributing directly to the success of the company and its clients.

About the Role:
In this role, you will deliver service projects and work with MV/HV asset condition monitoring techniques. You’ll apply partial discharge detection instruments and various complementary electrical testing methods to help customers operate safer, stronger, and more reliable networks.

  • HV Certification: Become authorized to undertake High Voltage (HV) testing, including partial discharge cable mapping, transformer testing, and more.
  • Skills Development: Work on diagnostics like partial discharge surveys, data analysis, and more, all while contributing to evolving asset condition analysis techniques.
  • Experience: You will travel to client sites across the UK on a regular basis, with very occasional overseas projects (that come with additional allowances).

What we’re looking for:

  • Electrical background essential (e.g., time-served Electrician)
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Condition Assessment for MV/HV electricity distribution or transmission assets would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience with HV testing/diagnostics/maintenance (advantageous but not essential)
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on Health and Safety
  • Inquisitive problem-solver with the ability to travel occasionally, including overseas/offshore (experience an advantage)
  • Valid passport and full UK driving license

What we can offer you:

  • Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE, flexibility on this salary if you’re from a HV Testing background
  • Overtime: Generous payments for overtime worked
  • Bonus: Company performance-based bonus
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays, plus 1 extra day after every 3 years (up to 30 days)
  • Pension: 8% employer contributions (or cash equivalent)
  • Flexible Working: Hybrid roles with genuine career development opportunities
  • Private Medical Insurance (single cover or cash equivalent)
  • Group Life Insurance / Group Income Protection / Critical Illness cover (or cash equivalents)

Great Work Environment: Collaborate with an amazing team in a positive, employee-focused culture.
