Job summary

Turner Lovell is recruiting an experienced EHS Advisor for a major HV infrastructure project in Slough/London. The role is a 12-month rolling contract with a day rate of 400–500 Ltd Outside IR35, working five days per week on site.

You will provide hands-on EHS support across HV substation, utility and cable installation activities, collaborating with project teams, contractors and supply chains to maintain high safety standards on a long-term programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an EHS/HSE Advisor within HV, utilities, energy, data centre or major infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within HV environments.
• GradIOSH is essential.
• NEBOSH qualification is required.
• Experience around 132kV substations or similar HV infrastructure is preferred.
• HSG47 and Street Works certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day EHS support and guidance across the project.
• Monitor and promote high standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Review RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Support safe delivery of HV substation, utility and cable installation works.
• Monitor contractor and supply chain compliance.
• Provide practical guidance to site teams and contractors.
• Support safety meetings, briefings and toolbox talks.
• Identify risks and opportunities for improvement across site activities.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
